Fund Our Families!
Facebook is brining a massive data center to Clark County with promises of jobs and growth—but too often, these kinds of deals put corporate profits ahead of our families’ needs. Take a look at what data centers really bring to communities:
Higher energy bills: Data centers are among the most energy intensive facilities in the world, and will drive up rates for Hoosiers.
Few jobs created: Despite their size, this data center will only create 100 permanent jobs. Most of these jobs will be contracted from out of state.
Massive tax breaks: In Indiana, data centers are set to avoid paying sales tax on billions of dollars of equipment over 50 years, costing Indiana up to $900 million in tax revenue to start and billions over the next 5 decades.
